Position: Analytical Lab, Project Analyst at West Pharmaceutical Services

Job Summary

The Analytical Lab, Project Analyst will manage multiple projects simultaneously within Quality Assurance. The role involves formulating, planning, and executing the completion of projects in conjunction with technical leads, ensuring adherence to governance policies and procedures, and reporting status and critical issues to management. The analyst provides analysis for project plans and schedules, prepares department-wide KPIs and metrics, and facilitates discussions across team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with internal and external team resources to drive the completion of project milestones based on timelines and project goals.
  • Develop technical knowledge, requiring a working knowledge and experience in project management.
  • Manage single work streams locally or globally and may work across multiple work streams.
  • Maintain clear communication paths with stakeholders.
  • Lead projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity to achieve milestones and objectives.
  • Resolve complex problems by taking a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Drive transparency of project workloads, financial commitments, and expectations.
  • Maintain project-related data within the West Project Management System.
  • Monitor resource needs and issues; work closely with resource managers to develop action plans to keep commitments on track.
  • Manage project dependencies and, when needed, elevate to the functional PMO.
  • Analyze, forecast, and report on the project budget.
  • Ensure projects are planned properly, including financials, resourcing, scheduling, and business case, supporting quality deliverables.
  • Define, drive, and manage change management and communications activities supporting assigned projects.
  • Champion the functional process and methodologies as applicable to projects and project teams.
  • Execute departmental strategy and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Compile KPIs and metrics from all Quality Projects and report on the data.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
Work Experience
  • 3+ years GMP industry experience required.
  • Knowledge and experience within pharmaceutical/devices and general project management preferred.
  • Experience managing projects in medical device and pharma manufacturing industries; knowledge of applicable federal and international regulations preferred.

Skills and Abilities
  • Awareness of all relevant SOPs per company policy related to the position.
  • Comprehensive compliance with the company’s quality policy at all times.
  • Ability to manage change and communication activities supporting assigned projects.
  • Experience with West’s functional processes and methodologies.
Travel Requirements

5%:
Up to 13 business days per year.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary—Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
