Job Description
Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Reports To: Assistant Director of Special Education
Employee Type: Full-Time, School Year, Salaried, Exempt
Summary
Provides behavior analysis services and behavior management plans for special education students enrolled in educational programs; provides support and professional learning to school staff in appropriate behavior intervention techniques; conducts assessments and develops plans that conform to IDEA; designs and delivers instruction in behavior analysis.

- Establishes rapport and work in a constructive, positive manner with staff and students.
- Creatively solves problems and work through the conflict resolution process as part of an educational team.
- Maintains a knowledge of best practices and laws governing behavioral supports for students with disabilities.
- Provides BCBA services for IDEA-eligible students as needed.
- Develops training materials for and provide professional learning to administrators, educators, and aides in ABA-based strategies, and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavioral challenges.
- Plans and assists in the implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of ABA.
- Creates and assists staff with the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) for individual students.
- Administers and/or trains staff on the administration of behavior related assessments, including FBAs, PBSPs, and the ABLLS assessment.
- Designs and assists staff with data collection, reviews data, and recommends modifications to PBSP's as needed.
- Confers with members of the IEP team and school staff, individually, in an IEP meeting, or in a conference, to discuss and evaluate student performance for planning, modifying, and coordination of individual programs.
- Attends professional development as directed by the Assistant Director of Special Education.
- Works with and assists staff with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors, providing support, modeling, professional development, and conducting training on the implementation of individual PBSPs.
- Collects data and prepare a variety of reports for the purpose of documentation, assessment, and progress monitoring.
- Provides BCBA oversight for Collegium staff seeking Registered Behavior Technician certification, as required by their CCS role (Student Support Specialists and some Instructional Assistants).
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Assistant Director of Special Education may from time to time assign or delegate.
- Consistently demonstrates high moral, ethical, and professional standards of performance and personal integrity
- Demonstrates effective planning and organization.
- Communicates clearly and effectively with CCS students, parents, faculty, staff and administration.
- Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model and conducts his/herself according to professional, ethical principles.
- Holds high expectations for faculty, staff and students.

- Shares a commitment to the success of the mission, goals, and objectives of CCS.
- Abides by the CCS Employee Manual, CCS policies and procedures, and PA Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators..
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Master's and Certification in ABA
- Certified with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board (BACB)
- Must maintain credentialing in compliance with the BACB
- Must complete Continuing Education Courses as outlined by the BACB
