New Horizons Montessori Academy is seeking caring and dependable Assistant Teachers and Teacher Aides to support classrooms serving children ages 6 months through kindergarten. This summer position runs through August 31, 2026, with the potential for continued employment during the academic year.

Teacher Aide: $16.50–$18.00 per hour (≈ $18.20–$19.85 per hour due to paid breaks).
Assistant Teacher: $18.00–$19.00 per hour (≈ $19.85–$22.05 per hour due to paid breaks). Requires a minimum of 2,000 hours (≈2 years) of professional childcare experience.
Summer pay rates apply through August 31, 2026. Compensation for any continued employment will be determined based on the position offered for the academic year.
Responsibilities- Assist teachers with classroom activities, daily routines, and transitions.
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, and hygiene routines as needed.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in a preschool, daycare, Montessori, or early childhood setting preferred.
- CDA, ECE coursework, or related education is a plus.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain required clearances and health documentation, including FBI Fingerprinting, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check, Physical Examination, and TB Screening.
