Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Production Support: Providing technical support to the production team to ensure smooth operations; troubleshooting equipment and process issues to minimize downtime; developing and maintaining work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborating with design and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability of new products; leading the design and development of manufacturing processes for new products; prototyping, testing, and validation of production systems for NPIs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring manufacturing processes meet quality standards and compliance requirements; implementing quality control measures to monitor and improve product consistency; working with the QA team to address non-conformities and preventive actions.
  • Equipment & Technology: Identifying, evaluating, and implementing new manufacturing technologies and equipment; developing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring equipment reliability; managing installation and commissioning of new machinery.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Promoting a culture of safety and adherence to HSE regulations; identifying and mitigating risks; driving sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact; exemplifying a safety-first mindset.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with procurement, supply chain, and logistics to ensure material availability; analyzing material supply options and supporting sourcing initiatives; collaborating with sales and customer service on client-specific requirements; supporting a culture aligned to PASSION values and holding colleagues accountable to them; performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Six Sigma Green-Belt Certified, or able to become certified within the first year.
  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing and Lean Operating Model.
  • Able to solve complex problems to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Able to read engineering drawings including weld symbols and GD&T.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to compile information for reports and decision making.
  • Capable of conducting and contributing to meetings at any level.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and understanding of ERP systems.
  • Experience with Solid Works or AutoCAD.
  • BOM costing experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ensuring clear and professional interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and adapt to change quickly.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 10-12 hours as needed.
  • Safety-minded and team-oriented.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work cohesively in a team.
  • Commitment to attendance and punctuality; flexibility for extended hours and some Saturdays to support growth.
