Job Description
WSP is currently seeking a Full‑Time Associate Project Manager for Chicago, IL;
Denver, CO;
Exton, PA; or Tampa, FL.
The successful candidate will manage a variety of projects, providing direction on repairs, modifications, light construction, and technical oversight of building/facilities projects. Projects range from a few days to a few weeks, often requiring the management of multiple simultaneous assignments, including client communication, subcontractor cost solicitation, scope reviews, project execution, deliverable collection, and pricing reviews.
Your Impact- Support the review of scopes of work requests, conduct subcontractor bid reviews and analysis, and prepare proposals and cost estimates.
- Manage projects upon award of task orders.
- Coordinate subcontractors, including preparation of quotes and requisition requests.
- Monitor budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to cost and delivery contractual commitments.
- Document project tasks and delivery thoroughly, providing weekly status reports.
- Maintain a weekly project/task log in a templated, professional format.
- Record and document significant verbal, telephone, and media communications.
- Ensure quality control, documentation, and resolution of poor‑quality work, repairs, installations, or material selections by contractors, trade disciplines, and suppliers.
- Control change orders, with detailed knowledge of change and contractual requirements.
- Monitor job safety and ensure compliance with WSP and USPS SH&E requirements.
- Interface with client contacts as required.
- Prepare and submit project deliverable packages.
- Travel overnight less than 10% of the time.
- Implement standards in compliance with USPS/WSP program requirements, seeking guidance from senior program and/or project managers.
- Possess knowledge of repair, maintenance, and construction processes.
- Apply project management skills across integration, scope, time, cost, quality assurance, and communication management.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Maintain clear record‑keeping that meets contract and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all applicable USPS/WSP Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
- Work with various facilities, including post offices, mail processing facilities, and maintenance facilities.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or relevant experience.
- Experience working with outside vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with repair services, maintenance, construction management, or related disciplines.
- Prior relevant project‑management experience preferred.
- Self‑motivation with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Experience managing direct and indirect resources in repair/maintenance or construction capacity.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of environmental, safety, and health regulatory compliance.
- Negotiation and construction‑management experience.
- Resourceful, well organized, dependable, efficient, and detail‑oriented.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with technical disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, building structure drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Work in varying environments (office and field settings).
- Willingness to work occasional off hours if required.
- Ability to travel and travel overnight if required.
- Must pass drug test, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record check.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $82,000 to $126,600.
WSP USA provides the compensation range that the company believes it might pay based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and role location. The company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits, independent of applicant status.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $88,500 to $126,600.
