What We’re Looking ForCCRN is seeking a Full‑time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our caring and compassionate team in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. As a BHT, you will provide community‑based behavioral support to a unique group of individuals across all settings in Chester County, PA.
What You’ll Do- Provide clinical support to assigned clients as prescribed in the Written Order.
- Maintain a good working relationship with the teacher and work under their direction.
- Consult with the BCBA on a weekly or bi‑weekly basis for up to 8 hours per month.
- Assist the BCBA in developing a treatment plan and implement the outlined behavioral strategies. Target behaviors will be tracked and documented daily, along with replacement behaviors demonstrated by the student.
- Provide a written summary of the day’s events, including PCA interventions and outbursts of behaviors, and document clinically in the PCA Services Daily Log. These logs must be signed by the student’s teacher and/or designee by the end of the week and meet standards set by the Director of Clinical Services and/or the Director of Educational Services.
- Maintain compliance with all aspects of the student’s IEP, including billing/documenting no more than 6.5 hrs daily (390 minutes) unless approved by the school district for additional time.
- Submit all required paperwork by Monday at 9:00 AM of the following week, once completed and signed by the student’s teacher and/or designee.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Check work email at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Participate in and complete all required trainings.
- Use ADP to clock in and out for each shift—including lunch—daily.
- Respond to supervisors’ contacts (text, phone call, or email) within 24 hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
By January 1, 2021, individuals who provide individual services through BHT Services must meet one of the following:
- Have a certification as a BCaBA.
- Have a certification as an RBT.
- Have a certification as a BCAT.
- Have a behavior health or behavior analysis certification from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a 40‑hour training covering the RBT Task List, as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Behavioral Health related field and three (3) years of direct care experience, or Certified Registered Behavioral Technician.
- Have a certification as a BCAT.
