- Create and establish integration standards, proper governance, and implementation patterns for API development.
- Be an advocate for Apigee & API Management, establishing and tracking KPIs to grow and measure APIM success within the organization.
- Provide guidance and best practices for API product implementations.
- Work with different product development teams to define their API implementation approach.
- Oversee and advise multiple Business Units on their migrations and implementations of API solutions.
- Be the technical lead of the developer portal and the self-service API catalog.
- Design, develop, and deploy Apigee solutions that meet internal and external customers’ business and technical requirements.
- Work with the Infrastructure teams to implement the runtime components of the Apigee platform.
- Build and execute API testing strategies and capabilities.
- Define, architect, and implement a target-state API toolset that will enhance developer experience across the API lifecycle.
- Manage administration, support, and development audit of existing environments.
- Assess and optimize the performance and security of the API platform.
Minimum
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or 10+ years of experience in IT.
- 4+ years of experience in microservices-based integration architecture, Apigee design, development and governance.
- 4+ years of experience in API management and API modernization.
- Experience implementing API Solutions into major cloud provider platforms.
- Experience with Enterprise Integration/Middleware solutions, such as Apigee, IBM Datapower, Mule Soft, Oracle, etc. is a plus.
- Strong knowledge in multiple integration methods/technologies including HTTPS, REST, Graph
QL, gRPC, SOAP, JSON, XML. - 2+ years of experience with containers and container management, such as Kubernetes is desired but not required.
- Experience with Dev Ops/CI/CD tools and processes, such as Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
- Strong knowledge of security standards and protocols including OAuth, SAML, JWT, etc. is desired.
- Experience in the full Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodology.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
