Job DescriptionWest Chester Area School District has the following interpreter services supplemental contract position open District wide.

This position will support a positive parent‑teacher‑school engagement for the benefit of the student’s educational success. The work scope will entail interpreting during school events, including but not limited to evening parent meetings, fall and spring parent‑teacher conferences, open houses, back to school nights, title I meetings, etc. During the course of the interpreting session the interpreter will use consecutive and simultaneous interpreting techniques and may be asked to sight translate a document, while abiding by the National Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Education.
PLEASE NOTE: The interpreter services performed by current WCASD employees must only be provided outside of the contracted employee work hours.
Qualifications- Mandatory participation in the Annual Internal WCASD Interpreter Training(s).
