The Parts Manager is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the Parts Department. This position oversees parts ordering, inventory management, wholesale and retail parts sales, vendor relationships, pricing, and department personnel.
You will collaborate closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Managers, and customers to ensure accurate and efficient parts sourcing and distribution. The Parts Manager will also monitor department performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement processes that increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Requirements- Manage the daily operations of the dealership Parts Department.
- Hire, train, coach, and supervise Parts Department employees.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing obsolete and excess inventory.
- Oversee parts ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution.
- Ensure technicians receive the correct parts in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Service Department to improve workflow and repair-order efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parts vendors and suppliers.
- Manage wholesale and retail parts sales opportunities.
- Monitor parts pricing, gross profit, and departmental profitability.
- Review and maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits.
- Identify and reduce lost sales, special-order issues, returns, and obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of parts cores, returns, and warranty parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Parts Department.
- Ensure all department processes comply with dealership policies and manufacturer requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators and develop action plans to improve results.
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
- Work with dealership management to establish and achieve Parts Department goals.
- Maintain a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by dealership management.
