Position OverviewThe Sander is responsible for preparing cabinetry and millwork components for the finishing process. This includes filling, sanding, and inspecting surfaces to ensure a smooth and defect-free finish. This is a hands‑on role requiring attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities- Sand cabinets, panels, frames, and moldings using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and sanding equipment
- Apply wood filler and putty as needed to repair imperfections and create a smooth surface
- Perform quality checks to ensure surfaces meet finishing standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Experience in sanding, woodworking, or a related field preferred
- Ability to identify and correct surface imperfections
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed (up to 50 lbs)
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
