Position Summary:
The Sand Blaster is responsible for surface preparation of metal components using abrasive blasting techniques to ensure proper coating adhesion and finish quality.
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
- Remove rust, scale, and contaminants from metal components
- Inspect surfaces to ensure proper preparation standards are met
- Maintain blasting equipment and ensure proper function
- Follow safety procedures, including PPE and containment practices
- Coordinate with painting and production teams
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- 1–3+ years of sandblasting or surface prep experience preferred
- Ability to operate blasting equipment safely
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
