Associate Scientist – Bioanalytical Sciences
Location: Exton, PA (onsite)
Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000
About the RoleWe are seeking an early‑career scientist to support discovery bioanalysis and preclinical pharmacokinetic (PK) studies. In this role, you will work with experienced scientists using advanced analytical techniques to generate high‑quality data that supports drug discovery and development.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in developing analytical methods to support sponsor preclinical PK studies.
- Prepare biological samples for bioanalytical testing and analysis.
- Perform laboratory studies in accordance with approved study protocols and scientific plans.
- Process, analyze, and document study results with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Generate technical reports and maintain complete study documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
- Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Stay current with scientific advancements and emerging analytical technologies.
- Collaborate with scientists and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality client results.
- Support additional laboratory projects and assignments as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of one year of laboratory experience in bioanalytical testing, pharmaceutical research, or a related environment.
- Experience with HPLC and/or UHPLC‑MS instrumentation.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately document, analyze, and report scientific data.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented laboratory.
- Experience with Agilent or Waters LC‑MS/MS systems.
- Experience performing non‑compartmental pharmacokinetic analysis using Phoenix Win Nonlin.
- Knowledge of additional chromatographic techniques and conventional HPLC analytical methods.
- Experience supporting preclinical pharmacokinetic (PK) or drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) studies.
- Is passionate about scientific research and analytical problem‑solving.
- Maintains exceptional attention to detail and data quality.
- Learns quickly and adapts to new laboratory methods and technologies.
- Works effectively both independently and within collaborative scientific teams.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, reliable results for clients.
- Full‑time, on‑site laboratory position.
- Combination of laboratory and office work.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Frequent use of laboratory instrumentation, computers, and scientific equipment.
- Work performed in laboratory environments with varying temperatures, lighting, and noise levels.
