Position Title

Welding Maintenance Tech

$65,000 - $80,000 / Year DOE

• Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Troubleshoot welding issues and conduct trials/tests
• Design, build, and improve fixturing/tooling for efficient manufacturing
• Evaluate current fixtures and recommend enhancements for throughput and quality
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with fixturing and tooling design or modification
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in MIG and TIG welding in a manufacturing environment
• 2‑year technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) is preferred
• Experience working with automated or robotic welding systems is preferred
• OSHA 10 or 40 hour certification is preferred
• ISO 9001 knowledge is preferred
• Familiarity with lean, six sigma, and 5S methodologies is preferred
• Technical degree or trade certification is preferred
• Engineering background is preferred
• Experience with CMMS systems is preferred
• Experience operating larger equipment is preferred
