- Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to field technicians and applicable departments.
- Serve as an escalation point for difficult service, maintenance, repair, and installation issues.
- Develop and deliver classroom, hands-on, and field-based technical training.
- Create and maintain training materials, competency checklists, technical standards, and troubleshooting resources.
- Establish consistent expectations for repairs, maintenance, installations, diagnostics, and workmanship.
- Partner with department leaders to define technician skill requirements and development paths.
- Research new equipment, products, systems, and technologies before they are widely implemented in the field.
- Identify recurring technical issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate technical findings, standards, and recommendations to technicians, managers, and leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, service, maintenance, repair, and installation.
- Demonstrated field experience troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply manufacturer documentation and technical specifications.
- Experience developing or delivering technical training, instruction, or hands-on coaching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
- Ability to influence technical performance, promote accountability, and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, initiative, and independent follow-through.
