Route Driver - Smartservice

Job Summary

Drives company vehicle over established route to deliver products and maintain inventory. Responsible for delivering top‑notch client and customer service at all times.

• Prior to each day’s route, ensure the truck is properly loaded with all product required to service scheduled machines following outlined operational procedures.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
• Load hand cart with totes of product, walk to the machines, load the machines, and return to the truck with an empty hand truck.
• Perform product rotation to ensure freshness at client locations.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines; report defective equipment to maintenance or technician dispatcher as necessary.
• Maintain accurate machine product and inventory data via handheld computer.
• Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services.
• Listen to and resolve service complaints; report all client and/or customer complaints to immediate supervisor promptly.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
• Accountable for receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected, and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with established procedures.
• Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Three years of driving experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws.
• Preferred 1–2 years of customer service experience or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lb. consistently.
