Located in Fair Lawn, New Jersey (Bergen County), CTC Academy serves the educational and therapeutic needs of students ages 18 months to 8 years old with complex developmental disabilities.

PART TIME - FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE - Teacher of Physical Education and Health for Students with Complex Developmental Disabilities.

• NJ Department of Education Teacher of Physical Education and Health Certification required
• Experience working with students with complex developmental disabilities preferred but not required.

• Flexible Schedule, 11-month position. Approximately 20 hours per week.

• Implement a high-quality physical education and health curriculum for students with complex developmental disabilities that focuses on:
• Fostering the development of skills needed for successful participation in the area of sports, fitness and a healthy life-style.
• Differentiate instruction to fulfill each child’s IEP
• Utilize a wide variety of assistive technology to meet the diverse instructional needs of students
• Collaborate with professional staff using a team approach
• Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides, one-to-one nurses, and volunteers.
• Work closely with families on behalf of the students
