we’re seeking a detail‑oriented bsa analyst to support our bank secrecy act/anti‑money laundering (bsa/aml) program with a focus on alert triage and clearing. You will review transaction monitoring alerts, conduct investigations, document findings, recommend escalation when warranted, and help ensure the bank’s compliance with bsa/aml/ofac requirements.
responsibilities- alert review & clearing – triage and clear daily transaction monitoring alerts in accordance with defined procedures, thresholds, and slas.
- perform initial and enhanced due diligence (cdd/edd) reviews for customers tied to alerts.
- document analysis, rationale, and disposition clearly and consistently in case management systems.
- investigations & escalation – identify unusual activity patterns; elevate cases to senior analysts or bsa officer when sar consideration is warranted.
- assist with drafting sar narratives and compiling supporting documentation, as directed.
- data & documentation – maintain accurate, complete case files for exam readiness (internal audit, external audit, and regulators).
- leverage multiple data sources (core banking systems, kyc/cdd tools, open‑source intel) to validate alert dispositions.
- quality & continuous improvement – meet or exceed daily productivity and quality metrics for alert clearing.
- provide feedback on rule tuning, typologies, and procedures to improve detection quality and reduce false positives.
- experience with bsa/aml alert triage and clearance.
- knowledge of sar writing and escalation procedures.
- proficiency in case management systems.
- strong analytical and investigative skills.
- excellent documentation and communication skills.
- intermediate level experience.
- $30.00 – $45.00/hr.
