Pay Details: $23.25 - $29.75 per hour (USD)
- Executes TD's brand promise by consistently demonstrating appropriate customer‑service behaviors to deliver a legendary experience in the store.
- Performs customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe‑deposit‑box payments efficiently.
- Processes cash transactions, including cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawers, and handling night deposits.
- Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures, escalating to management when necessary.
- Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, welcoming customers warmly, and guiding them appropriately.
- Understands customer preferences regarding banking and educates customers on self‑service and digital options that meet their needs.
- Advocates for customers by conducting needs‑based conversations; offering financial and digital solutions or referring them to appropriate partners.
- Trains and mentors new tellers.
- Assists supervisors with daily duties as directed by store leadership.
- Ensures compliance with operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
- Verifies customers’ identities by following authentication policies and procedures.
- Balances cash drawers, automated teller machines (ATMs), teller cash dispensers (TCDs), and teller cash recyclers (TCRs) as necessary.
- Adheres to safe‑deposit‑box procedures, operations, and guidelines.
- Maintains cash drawers and vaults, ensuring appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times.
- Safeguards confidential customer information, ensuring it is securely stored throughout the day.
- Follows dual‑control and all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.
- Utilizes bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud.
- Completes all required in‑classroom and online training by established due dates.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
One year of teller or cash‑handling experience preferred; demonstrated customer‑service skills preferred.
Skills:
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled; strong organizational skills; detail‑oriented; able to function in a fast‑paced and changing environment; excellent communication skills with the ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
Work involves sedentary tasks, operating standard office equipment, and responding quickly to sounds. Employees may sit, stand, walk, and perform tasks such as standing, walking, and moving safely in confined spaces. Lifting or carrying tasks involve under 25 lbs. or occasionally over 25 lbs. Employees must be able to concentrate for long periods, apply common sense to standardized situations, and read, write, and comprehend instructions.
