Director of Nursing

Spine Search is partnering with a Quad A–accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Fair Lawn, NJ to identify an experienced Nursing & Operations Director (Part-Time RN) to oversee perioperative nursing services and operational compliance.

This leadership role is responsible for staffing oversight, regulatory readiness, materials management, and ensuring adherence to Quad A, state, and CMS standards.

The Director must be on-site two days per week, with Friday required.

• Provide clinical and operational oversight of perioperative services
• Supervise and support RNs and surgical technologists
• Ensure proper pre-op, intra-op, and post-op workflows
• Oversee documentation, charting components, pathology handling, and required surgical logs
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care

• Develop and manage staff schedules
• Participate in hiring and onboarding processes
• Maintain credentialing and licensure compliance
• Ensure ongoing competency validation

• Ensure compliance with Quad A, state, and CMS regulations
• Maintain adherence to:
• SPD (Sterile Processing Department) standards
• HIPAA regulations
• PPE requirements
• Infection prevention standards
• Maintain required policy & procedure manuals, logs, and documentation
• Develop and update policies and procedures as regulations evolve
• Lead and prepare for inspections and surveys (State, Quad A, CMS)
• Serve as primary liaison during regulatory visits
• Maintain organized and compliant supply systems
• Oversee materials management and vendor relationships
• Monitor inventory levels and supply lines
• Implement cost containment strategies
• Reduce waste and improve operational efficiency

• Active RN license in the State of New Jersey
• Nursing management experience in an ASC or perioperative setting
• Strong knowledge of Quad A accreditation standards
• Experience leading state and CMS inspections
• Thorough understanding of ASC compliance requirements
• Experience in staffing, scheduling, and credential management
• Strong organizational and leadership skills

• Experience in podiatric surgery setting
• Experience in small ASC operations (2 OR environment)
• Familiarity with sterile processing standards and infection control oversight

• Friday is required (primary surgical day)
