Environmental ConditionsAdherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards. Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold), loud noises from equipment/machinery, and some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.). Standing for full shift, various outside weather conditions, and work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Compensation$22.25 per hour, shift differential $0.50 per hour.
Job DescriptionThe Chemical Packager is a unionized position responsible for weighing, filling, labeling, sealing, and other packaging operations as well as general warehouse duties related to packaging materials, such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping materials in order.
A Day in the Life- Weighing, filling, labeling, sealing, and other packaging operations for various bottle sizes.
- General warehouse duties such as unloading bottle trucks and keeping packaging materials in order.
- Transport bulk material, bottles, caps, and supplies to the filling location.
- Complete necessary information for record‑keeping.
- Set up scale, verify bottle size, and set up containers to be filled.
- Work safely and produce quality products.
Training for the role may include first shift work for a limited time.
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience- Preferred: work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field.
- Preferred: experience in a cGMP environment.
- Forklift operator experience is helpful; ability to operate powered industrial trucks is required.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Commitment to working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Capability to operate powered industrial trucks; forklift operator experience helpful.
Candidate must be comfortable working with hazardous and non‑hazardous materials and able to work alternately in a seated or standing position.
