Current compensation:
Base $49,000. Comprehensive benefits include Health (Medical, Vision, Dental), Short Term Disability, AAE, and Pension.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Willingness to travel locally within the Bronx, NY and Passaic/Bergen/Hudson Counties, New Jersey.
• Ability to provide own transportation to and from work.
• Experience installing cabling.
• Clear understanding and experience with DC power.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work; faculty, etc.

• Required to complete a criminal history background check to prove that the individual has not been convicted of a crime or a disorderly person's offense.
• Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.2.
• Pass the state required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test as required by N.J.A.C. 6A:32-6.3.

• Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
• Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects or materials.
• Requires the ability to work in noisy and crowded environments.

• Requires some traveling.

• Handle low voltage installations, terminations and test including security systems, alarm, CCTV, data/network and A/V.
• Perform Smart board/TV installations.
• Must have good experience in the field, be able to communicate in English, and be friendly to customers.
• Capable of working at construction sites, reading blueprints and electrical diagrams, must be able to read manuals and instructions.
• Work will include travel to service calls, troubleshoot faults and repair.
• Must know brands and parts in the security systems field.
• Must show ability to pull cables and work on Sheetrock/Concrete walls.
• Provide timely and accurate feedback to management through prompt communication.
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

• Work independently: perform quality work within assigned deadlines without direct supervision.
• Must show neatness at work, must have a clean driver license.
• Ability to work occasional overtime, as well as irregular hours and days including weekends and holidays as dictated by project needs.
• Must be capable of using hand tools such as cable strippers, cable connector crimpers, soldering irons, and other typical tools used in the telecommunication industry.
• Must have knowledge of how to use a multimeter, wire map, and testing equipment.
• Must be capable of working in confined areas and access areas on hands and knees for occasional and sometimes extended periods in order to complete an installation.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl in all environments (basements, crawl spaces, attic/ceilings, etc.).
• Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
  Works in standard office and school building environments.
