Stock Control Clerk

Stock Control Clerk – Direct Hire, Fair Lawn, NJ | $20.00 - $24.00 / hr | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are a defense electronics manufacturer based in Fair Lawn, NJ seeking a detail‑oriented Stock Control Clerk to join our team on a direct hire basis. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring, recording, and managing inventory levels to ensure that stock is available when needed and accurately accounted for. This is a full‑time, permanent position offering a competitive benefits package.

• Perform daily cycle counts of electronic and non-electronic inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock databases in company systems
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials; count goods inward and compare against purchase orders and packing slips
• Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or excess inventory
• Conduct regular inventory audits and spot checks
• Update stock movements, transfers, and adjustments in inventory systems
• Prepare inventory reports for management
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and sales departments
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Ensure proper storage and organization of stock items
• Follow company procedures for stock control and safety regulations

• Strong numerical and record‑keeping skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on inventory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with electronics or electronic components (e.g., distribution, assembly, or manufacturing)
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (ERP, WMS, or similar platforms)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to build and manage inventory spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis
