PROJECT OVERVIEW
The McCarthy Area Council (MAC) is seeking a qualified entity to complete and launch MAC’s partially developed Squarespace
website. The contractor will work directly with the MAC Administrator to review existing materials, migrate approved content,
finish required integrations, test the site, and complete the public launch by September 30 , 2026
SCOPE OF WORK- Review both websites with the MAC Administrator and identify approved pages, documents, photographs, forms, and links to migrate, revise, archive, or remove.
- Complete and update the site structure and content, including Home/About, Board of Directors, governance documents, meetings and minutes, projects and grant programs, public facilities, membership and dues, donations, and contact information.
- Remove placeholder or outdated content; organize documents and meeting-minute archives; correct formatting, broken links, and inconsistent information.
- Configure and test contact and email-list forms, membership-dues and donation functions, and links to applications, meeting information, and Zoom access, as applicable.
- Connect (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). to the completed Squarespace site without disrupting MAC email services; test desktop and mobile display, navigation, forms, document links, and basic accessibility.
- Provide one consolidated revision round, a brief handoff to the MAC Administrator, and simple written instructions for routine updates.

All website, domain, payment, and administrative accounts will remain under MAC control.
CONTRACT, TIME, AND PAYMENTThis is a flat-fee independent contractor agreement. Total compensation is for satisfactory completion and acceptance of the
project. MAC estimates that the entire project can be completed within a maximum of 25 hours. The flat fee will not increase if
additional time is needed unless MAC approves a written contract amendment before the additional work is performed.
Payment will be made after the completed website is live, required access and instructions have been provided, and MAC has
accepted the work. The contractor will provide their own equipment, internet access, and ordinary business expenses.
SCHEDULE AND DELIVERABLES- Anticipated selection and contract execution by August 15, 2026.
- Substantially completed website available for MAC review:
September 20, 2026. - Final corrections, domain connection, public launch, and project completion: no later than September 30, 2026.
Proposals should be concise and include:
- Name, contact information, and business name, if applicable.
- Brief summary of relevant Squarespace/WIX/etc., website migration, nonprofit, or community website experience.
- Links to one to three relevant work samples and up to two references, if available.
- A short description of the proposed approach, schedule, and confirmation of availability to meet the September 30 deadline.
- Cost proposal
MAC will consider relevant experience, understanding of the project, work samples, ability to meet the schedule, and overall fit.
MAC may request clarification, negotiate minor scope details, reject any or all proposals, or cancel this solicitation.
MAC may give reasonable preference to a qualified contractor who resides in, works in, or has a demonstrated connection to the
McCarthy-Kennecott area. Local preference will be considered together with experience, proposed approach, availability, cost,
and overall ability to complete the project successfully.
The selected contractor will be engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee. Before work begins, the contractor must
complete IRS Form W-9, be legally authorized to work in the United States, protect all MAC credentials and nonpublic
information, and sign MAC’s contract for services. MAC will issue Form 1099-NEC after the end of the tax year when required
by law. Subcontracting requires prior written approval.
