Disability Services Student Assistant

As our Disability Services Student Assistant, you will help achieve our departmental goals and provide exceptional services to the students we serve. Disability Services (DS) provides accommodations for academics and campus life to students with disabilities who register with the office. These accommodations range from providing American Sign Language interpreting services to reading tests out loud to approval of emotional support animals for the residence halls.

Student assistants are an integral part of the DS team!

• The applicant must have good interpersonal skills.
• The applicant must demonstrate familiarity with laptop and desktop computers.
• The applicant must be able to work independently and reliably meet time commitments.
• The applicant must be able to read out loud clearly.
• The applicant must be able to take legible notes.

Preferred experience:

office setting and customer services.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school GED or diploma.

This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only.

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks. This is a part-time, student assistant position, starting rate of $16.20/hr.
