Position: HR Student Assistant - Fairbanks (Immediate Availability)

Join the University of Alaska Human Resources team as a Student Assistant on the Fairbanks campus! Gain hands‑on experience greeting visitors, answering calls, maintaining employee files, and handling basic office administration. To thrive in this role, you will need strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need a solid foundation in basic computer software, strong problem‑solving abilities, and a strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

This position is located at the UA HR office on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ campus. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We offer flexible scheduling around your classes and exams. Preference is given to applicants who can work 15–20 hours per week across at least three days, with availability on Wednesdays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant must be a University of Alaska student, enrolled and regularly attending six (6) or more credit hours and must possess a 2.0 or better cumulative grade point average (CGPA)

Preferred experience with office-based software.

Preferred experience with website management.

Preferred ability to work independently.

Position Details:

This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only.

This is a Student Assistant 2 position with an hourly rate of $16.20.

This position is available for up to 20 hours per week, all year round, with possible additional hours available during the summer.
