Job Overview
Join the UAF Office of the Bursar as a Customer Service Representative. You will be the front line of support, providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, agencies, and the general public.
Responsibilities- Provide frontline support for financial and business matters related to the Bursar’s office.
- Answer inquiries and resolve issues related to student accounts, receivables, and finance.
- Maintain accurate records and execute routine business functions.
- Work experience in an entry‑level fiscal position or equivalent (college coursework may substitute).
- Knowledge of UA policies, procedures, and computer systems related to student accounts, receivables, and finance.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency with standard business machines (10‑key, computer, etc.) and office software (word processing, spreadsheets).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and productively as part of a team.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Capability to work well under stress and adapt to changing demands and timelines while maintaining productivity and customer service.
- One year of college coursework in accounting or an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education.
- At least three years of high‑level customer service experience.
Location:
Troth Yeddha’ campus, Fairbanks, Alaska. Full‑time, non‑exempt staff position.
Salary:
Grade 77 on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, based on education and experience.
