Overview

Are you ready to join an energetic, positive, and collaborative team? As a Student Marketing Assistant for the UAF College of Business and Security Management, you ll engage in social media management, event planning, and the use of communication tools and promotional channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop valuable life skills while promoting a national innovation competition and a premier leadership event for over 300 attendees.

You ll gain hands-on experience in social media, graphic design, photography, and videography.

Responsibilities
  • Manage social media; participate in event planning and execution; use communication tools and promotional channels.
  • Promote a national innovation competition and a premier leadership event for 300+ attendees.
  • Develop hands-on skills in social media, graphic design, photography, and videography.
  • Collaborate with team members both independently and under supervision; may work at the CBSM office or remotely.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Must be a UA student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours throughout employment.
    • Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, unless a first-time freshman.
    • Prefer one year or more of related training or experience.
  • Experience with social media, graphic design, and photo/video techniques is helpful, but not required.
  • Basic computer skills, customer service, and the ability to work independently with intermittent supervision.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Position Details

This is a part-time position for UA students only. It is a Student 2 position, starting at $16.00/hour.
