This is a fast-paced position that assists the Manager of UAF Onboarding and Engagement with welcoming new hires to UAF, the development of onboarding and engagement activities to include: campus tours, event planning such as employee welcome and recognition events, content development, creating visual materials such as presentations, website content, multimedia and printed publications, and the implementation of communication plans.
Responsibilities- Assist the Manager of UAF Onboarding and Engagement with welcoming new hires to UAF and developing onboarding and engagement activities, including campus tours and event planning (e.g., employee welcome and recognition events).
- Support content development and the creation of visual materials such as presentations, website content, multimedia, and printed publications.
- Assist with the implementation of communication plans and the coordination of equipment, space, and programs as needed.
- Design, print, and produce collateral materials as required (preferred).
- Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. - To be eligible for student employment at UAF: be enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or for employment between semesters, have completed six or more UA credit hours in the preceding semester and plan to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester; and have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and database contacts management); excellent customer service; communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coordinate the use of equipment, building space, or programs; ability to design, print and produce other collateral material (preferred).
- Salary Information:
This is a part-time temporary student position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session. Additional hours may be available during the summer and winter breaks. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour, but is negotiable depending on experience. - Special Instructions:
