Spruce Tree Montessori School and its growing elementary community is growing! We are accepting resumes for the position of Elementary Teacher in a combined lower/upper elementary environment. Ideal candidate has a Montessori teaching credential (EI, 6-9 or EI/EII, 6-12) from a MACTE-accredited training center and ADULT LEARNERS in training are eligible to apply. Looking for individuals with a minimum of two (2) years experience in a Montessori classroom, experience with classroom set-up and materials organization, classroom management skills, excellent parent relationship skills and proficient computer skills.
Best fit candidates are innovative and resourceful, active and kind. He/she demonstrates a sound understanding of the Montessori philosophy and is confident in his/her knowledge of Montessori materials, teaching fundamentals and electronic record keeping. A Montessori teaching credential (EI, 6-9 or EI/EII, 6-12) from a MACTE-accredited training site is preferred; candidates in training are eligible to apply. BS/BA degree in any field required. Candidate has a minimum of two (2) years experience in a Montessori classroom. Candidate is innovative and resourceful, active and kind. Candidate displays a sincere desire to promote the Montessori philosophy at school and within the community.
Candidate is confident in his/her knowledge of Montessori fundamentals. Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred but training available.
Position offers competitive salary depending on years of experience starting at $55,000 per year with required qualifications, plus health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision, life), professional development allowance, relocation package, paid vacation, personal leave, and a multi-year commitment signing bonus.
