Job Summary:
Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings. Through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, facilitates development in areas of need such as educational, social/emotional, communication, gross motor, fine motor, and adaptive.
Salary:
Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement. Contract Length:
Minimum of 184 days. Retire:
State of Alaska TRS. Bargaining Unit:
Fairbanks Education Association (FEA). Signing Bonus: $2,000 following first 30 days for external (non-FEA) applicants.
- Bachelor's degree
- Must possess or be eligible for a valid Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master certificate with an endorsement in Special Education
- Working knowledge of state and federal Special Education laws
- Meet all state and federal requirements to be qualified in required content area
