Student Success Center-Student Assistant

University of Alaska Fairbanks – Student Success Center (SSC) is a student‑focused hub that supports academic, personal, and professional success.

The SSC provides services such as Nanook Advising, Math/Statistics/Writing tutoring, Academic Success Coaching, Testing Services, Career Services, workshops, and campus resource navigation.

Assist students and alumni by providing first‑line support, answering inquiries, and connecting them with relevant services. Coordinate appointment scheduling, manage the flow of information, and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment while handling multiple tasks efficiently.

• Currently enrolled as a UAF student taking at least 6 credits per semester or a newly enrolled student.
• Minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with diverse students.
• Proactive, independent, and able to learn new systems quickly.
• Proficient with Apple, Microsoft Office, Google applications, and able to learn Canvas, Nanook Navigator, and Banner.

Part‑time student position. Hourly rate: $16.50. The position remains open throughout the academic year.
