Position Overview
The Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for a bipartite (teaching/service) non‑tenure‑track Term Assistant Professor position, effective August 2026. This role requires teaching in both face‑to‑face and online settings and incorporating multicultural perspectives into coursework. Preference is given to candidates with expertise in statistics and research design, but the area of specialization is open.
Responsibilities• Teach a broad range of undergraduate psychology courses in person and online.
• Mentor students academically and support their professional development.
• Incorporate cultural diversity and inclusive pedagogy into all courses.
• Contribute to departmental growth through service, collaboration, and engagement with the university and community.
Teaching Experience
:
Instructor of record in undergraduate psychology courses.
Doctoral Degree
:
PhD in psychology obtained by the time of appointment.

Troth Yeddha' campus, Fairbanks, Alaska.
