I&C Technician - O&M North Slope Construction
JOB SUMMARYThe I&C Technician will support the Santos Commissioning Team, with conducting calibrations and final assessments to verify that the construction deliverables are properly built, tested, and documented on the Pikka Nanushuk Drillsite B (NDB) Phase 1 Well Tie‑In (WTI) Campaign. They will ensure that all I&C systems are properly installed, function correctly, and meet safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Promote and lead in the implementation of Santos Ltd policies and procedures, including safety, health, environment, process, people, and planning.
- Provide technical field support to commissioning and startup activities as required.
- Carry out pre‑commissioning checks in I&C systems, in readiness for commissioning and handover to operations.
- Accurately document commissioning results, tests, and inspections ensuring all records are up to date in the Completion Management System.
- Performing and monitoring testing of equipment to assure compliance with specifications and test procedures.
- Using Trex communicator to set up instruments.
- Perform calibration and adjustments on instruments and test equipment, adhering to company procedures, equipment data sheets, and customer specifications.
- Examine and evaluate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), loop and ladder diagrams, and relevant discipline‑specific drawings.
- Provide performance feedback to engineering and maintenance.
- Manage and maintain all commissioning documentation and folders.
- Have a high‑school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years of combined experience in construction / commissioning for industrial and oil and gas facilities.
- Experience in the startup of oil and gas facilities.
- Possess understanding of applicable codes and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrable interpersonal / team‑building skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills required to interact at all levels of seniority.
- Have a valid NSTC card.
- Have experience working on the North Slope.
