Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems / Human Factors Engineer to support the development, integration, verification, and certification of aerospace systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in systems engineering, human factors assessment, requirements management, certification processes, and configuration management within regulated aerospace environments. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure system designs meet operational, safety, usability, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform systems engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Conduct Human Factors Engineering (HFE) assessments in accordance with AMC 29.1302 and applicable aerospace regulations.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain system requirements using requirements management tools such as Polarion or IBM DOORS

  • Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder, system, software, and verification requirements.
  • Support system safety, usability, and operational analyses to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with design, software, hardware, safety, and certification teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, compliance reports, verification plans, and certification artifacts.
  • Support aerospace certification activities and interactions with regulatory authorities, including FAA and EASA

  • Participate in configuration management activities, including change control, baseline management, and impact assessments.
  • Contribute to Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in system integration testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace Systems Engineering or Human Factors Engineering.
  • Experience performing human factors assessments in accordance with AMC 29.1302 or similar aviation regulations.
  • Hands‑on experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion or IBM DOORS
    .
  • Knowledge of aerospace systems development lifecycle and certification processes.
  • Experience with configuration management principles and change control processes.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with rotorcraft, aircraft, avionics, or aerospace systems.
