Electrical Engineer - Manager

Design Alaska is a multi-disciplinary architectural, engineering, and land surveying firm based in Fairbanks, Alaska, dedicated to creating spaces that strengthen our communities. As a company committed to purposeful and innovative design, we are seeking talented Electrical Engineers with leadership attributes and management expertise. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our 6-person electrical engineering department. This is a leadership role for a licensed professional who is excited to contribute to a team, guide technical development, and participate in projects across Alaska.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• 5+ years of experience in building systems design, power distribution, lighting, or similar
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Collaborative approach to problem-solving and project delivery
• Commitment to high quality project completion

• Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of electrical engineers and EITs
• Oversee and contribute to the design of power, lighting, and signal systems for commercial, government, and institutional projects
• Collaborate with in-house architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers
• Help set technical standards, improve quality processes, and support staff development
• Engage in client meetings and planning efforts to support successful projects
