This position provides supervision and case management for adult male and female offenders who are required to report to the Department of Corrections. Job duties include working directly with felony offenders by conducting office meetings, interviews, completing risk/need assessments, urinalysis tests, providing referrals for treatment needs, conducting field contacts, as well as violation arrests and offender transports. Requires acquiring and documenting historical and current information for the individuals under the supervision of the office.

Officers ensure offender compliance with court or parole board issued conditions and report any violation to those entities.

This position will be hired to write Presentence Reports for various locations around the state. Some telework can be available and the hired individual could transition into a workload that involves direct supervision of offenders after some time in the position.

This office is responsible for a geographic area extending from the Alaska Range to the Brooks Range, including the Tanana and Yukon River watersheds.
