Family Centered Services of Alaska (FCSA) is a CARF accredited nonprofit organization founded in 1989, dedicated to serving the mental health and substance abuse treatment needs of children, young adults, and their families. Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Therapist based in Fairbanks, AK. The Therapist will be responsible for providing mental health services to children, young adults, and their families. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, offering therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with families, community members, and other professionals. The Therapist will play a key role in implementing the organization’s mission of providing exceptional care and support to those in need.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required.
  • Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor preferred but not required.
  • Strong skills in counseling and therapeutic practices, including the ability to create and execute individualized treatment plans
  • Ability to collaborate with families, community stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional qualifications such as a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; licensure or eligibility for licensure in Alaska is required
  • Experience working with children and young adults in a therapeutic setting; knowledge of trauma-informed care is a plus
  • Commitment to the mission and values of "unconditional care" and ability to provide services in a compassionate, inclusive, and culturally sensitive manner
