* GDIT is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Engineer at the Fort Wainwright Mission Training Complex (MTC) under the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II (MTCCS II) program. GDIT provides individual sustainment and collective Mission Command training, leadership development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, delta training, first‑person simulations (gaming), and constructive simulation support from squad level through Echelon Above Brigade (EAB). Responsibilities include technical integration between simulation and C4I systems, establishing and maintaining training and exercise networks, and executing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation activities.

** Network design** :
Design, plan, implement, and oversee classified and unclassified MTC WAN/LAN networks supporting voice, data, and video services for exercises and events.

** External network integration** :
Manage MTC use of networks owned by external organizations, including NIPR, SIPR, tactical networks, and others as required.

** Cross‑site coordination** :
Coordinate network design, requirements, and responsibilities with other MTCs, training sites, training units, and external communications organizations.

** Architecture and configuration** :
Design network architecture, develop network plans, configure equipment, and assist with installation of equipment and circuits supporting distributed exercises.

** Operational and analytical tasks** :
Install, configure, maintain, and secure networks and associated devices.

** Simulation network support** :
Configure, document, test, troubleshoot, and update network documentation for internal simulation networks, including Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches. Troubleshoot TCP/IP, multicast, UDP traffic flows, and tunneling encryption devices.

** Cybersecurity compliance** :
Apply system updates, quarterly patches/IAVAs, SRG/STIGs, configure access control lists, and analyze or modify network devices and software to meet user and system requirements.

** Encrypted connections** :
Plan, develop, and execute encrypted network connections to external entities supporting constructive simulation exercises. Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution for network issues.

Monitor network performance and conduct scheduled backups and recovery testing.

Review and update network requirements for accuracy and doctrinal compliance.

** WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:*

** Education** : BA/BS Degree or equivalent relevant years of experience
