JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist position reports to the Inventory Planner, and the Materials Supervisor with interfacing among other client and contractor personnel. Primary job duties will be inventory management for KUP/WNS/ANC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Inventory management to include running reports, counts, discrepancy resolution, etc for all locations.
  • Use one or more computerized systems or databases to develop, maintain and report material status, to include creating FR's or Excel spreadsheets to transfer, stage, issue and return material.
  • Work with Material Planners, Maintenance personnel, and Craft leads to "dispose of or return to stock" excess materials after completion of jobs.
  • Inventory control for on and off-site locations in KUP/WNS/ANC.
  • Report material sourcing and status, to include creating Material Requisition s or Purchase Orders to transfer, purchase, stage and issue material.
  • Integrate/Manage/troubleshoot new database/systems for RFID (Radio Frequency ) processes
  • Research contractor data list for material availability and problem resolution.
  • Candidate must be able to follow instructions from Inventory Planner, Supervision and be able to read and understand SOP's.
  • Must have analytical and organizational skills.
  • Multiple disciplines include interfacing and coordination with Client and company personnel for production, engineering, construction, maintenance, purchasing departments, as well as vendors and other contractors.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited direction and supervision.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 or 3x3 rotation is required.
  • A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the receiving, inspection, stocking, staging, packaging, inventory, issue, shipping and delivering functions and the warehousing systems is required.
  • Familiarity with construction and maintenance materials and tools is required.
  • Proficient experience with SAP, Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Five (5) or more years' experience working in a Construction/Industrial setting, the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry, and/or the North Slope/Arctic environment is preferred.
