Overview
The Senior Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing UAF’s mission by securing major gifts of $25,000+ from individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations. Working as part of the central development team, this position supports fundraising efforts across colleges, schools, institutes, and programs, while championing the Chancellor’s initiatives in academics, scholarships and fellowships, facilities, and campus enhancements.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, collaborating closely with executive leadership, community partners, and the UA Foundation to maximize philanthropic support. Contribute to events, donor engagement strategies, and stewardship activities, and engage in professional development and civic organizations to expand networks, deepen community connections, and elevate UAF’s fundraising success.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, public administration or a related field and at least four years of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A minimum of four years of successful relationship building, public relations, fundraising, or similar activity is required.
Position DetailsFull‑time, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. The opportunity to work remote within Alaska, hybrid, or on‑campus at UAF will be fully considered in accordance with UA regulations. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
