- Hourly wage $38.42‑$63.35 based on experience and education

- Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history and physical with patient/family; assure completion within the appropriate timeframe.
- Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers.
- Formulate and implement a plan of care, including the discharge plan, with realistic, measurable goals based on patient and family input and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
- Provide direct patient care, coordinate, delegate, and supervise other health‑care team members; promote continuity of care through accurate communication.
- Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise the plan of care as needed.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a legible, timely manner, reflecting objective/subjective data, nursing interventions, and patient response.
- Participate in research activities, unit or facility shared leadership, education, role development, and orientation of personnel, patients, and visitors.
- Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes, including participation in professional organizations.
- Supervise staff and workflow of the department as required.
- Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
Must possess a valid current or temporary Alaska RN license, an Associate’s degree in nursing, BLS certification, and may require ACLS, PALS, or additional certification and/or continuing education based on area of practice. Demonstrated creative thinking, prioritizing, flexible problem‑solving skills, and clear verbal and written communication are required.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.
