About the role
You will be a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. Your responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician for medical issues. You will also maintain compliance with plasma collection regulations and provide support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives.
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, perform medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Consult with the Center Physician or Medical Affairs on donor safety and eligibility.
- Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate evaluations with occupational health/E.R.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or completion of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current state EMT‑Paramedic license or certification.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State licensure for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved Bio Life Medical Support Specialist training.
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
Location:
USA – CO – Aurora.
Hourly wage: $28.16 – $38.72.
