Overview
Lux Travel Nurse is seeking a travel nurse RN OR
- Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Fairbanks, Alaska. Specialty: OR
- Operating Room. Discipline: RN. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week.
Shift: 12 hours, days.
Employment Type:
Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Ambulatory Surgery Center. Housing Provided, $500 Travel Assistance.
- Deliver high-quality patient care throughout the surgical journey, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative services.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate significant changes to providers and surgical team members.
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient education to support successful recovery.
- Administer medications and provide care according to established standards and clinical guidelines.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Participate in sterile processing activities and pre/post-surgical patient follow-up calls.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
- Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain within three months of hire).
- Minimum of three years of experience working independently in the Operating Room and/or PACU.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screening.
- Calm and confident in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- A strong communicator who builds trust with patients and team members.
- Organized, adaptable, and solution oriented.
