Description:
Previous travel experience required.
Candidates must hold a valid state license prior to starting.
Shifts will be either days or nights based on facility needs at the time of the start date.
The traveler can choose either a 26-week or a 13-week assignment.
Patient-to-staff ratios are typically 1:20.All caregivers will be required to obtain the Alaska Food Worker Certification during the orientation on-site.
There is a one-time fee for the certification.
Candidates should be open to floating within their scope to meet facility needs.
Travelers must be willing to work at least two of the three major winter holidays.
RTO must be submitted with application.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a long-term care facility with adults and geriatric populations.
Experience with various patient diagnoses is needed.
The facility will provide a vehicle for the traveler’s use during the assignment.
The vehicle will be made available no earlier than 72 hours before starting the contract and no later than 24 hours after the contract ends.
Travelers must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Traveler’s personal vehicle insurance must include rental car coverage.
Vehicles are to be used within a 30-mile radius and must not be taken off-road.
If the traveler has time off, they must return the vehicle during that time.
Candidates should ensure that they have their own housing accommodations, as availability may be limited.
References covering experience in long-term care are required during the compliance process.
Candidates must have experience with required skills outlined in the job description.
Documentation of willingness to obtain Hep B vaccination or a valid medical exemption must be provided if the vaccination history is not available.
