# Job Opportunity – Long Term Care Registered Nurse – Alaska
Start Date: November 3, 2026
Location: Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 4x12 Variable shifts (Days or Nights based on facility needs at start date). Choice of 13 or 26-week assignment. No rotation between day/night shifts under normal circumstances. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period.
Highlights:
- Long Term Care facility with 40 staffed beds and patient ratio of 1:20
- Electronic charting system (ECS) utilized for documentation
- Flexible contract duration options: 13 or 26-week assignments available
- Free parking and facility-arranged shuttle transportation to/from Anchorage at contract start and completion
- Diverse patient population including dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, cognitive and physical impairments
- Float within scope may be required to meet facility needs
Requirements:
- Active Alaska RN license in hand at time of submission (compact license accepted)
- Previous travel nursing experience required – first-time travelers not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:20 or similar
- Alaska Food Worker Certification (obtained during on-site orientation with $10 fee)
- Skills required:
Oxygen administration, peripheral line care, isolation precautions/PPE, accuchecks, PEG tube feedings, IV hydration, phlebotomy, wound care, respiratory treatments - Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location
- Willingness to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
