Basic Function
The incumbent in this position will supervise a group of four (4) Summer Youth Laborers who will perform routine park custodial and landscape maintenance as well as painting and minor repairs. A $2,000 end‑of‑season bonus for those who work through the end of season (8/15/25) is available.
Salary and BenefitsSalary: Grade 94
Retention Bonus Notice: Employees who work through the end of the season will be given a bonus of up to $1,000 to be paid in the final paycheck.

Typical Duties- Coordinate activities for crew with Maintenance Division of Parks & Recreation.
- Coordinate work and maintenance/custodial/groundskeeping schedules.
- Supervise summer youth laborers, including assigning work, and ensuring safe and effective operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license. Must meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under the Borough's insurance program. If personal automobile is used for Borough business, proof of automobile insurance at statutory limits must be provided. (A CURRENT COPY OF DRIVING RECORD WILL BE REQUIRED UPON REQUEST)
- Demonstrated experience in routine maintenance procedures.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience; prefer experience supervising youth.
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and irregular work shifts.
- Ability to coordinate workloads and assign tasks.
- This position requires a criminal background investigation and fingerprinting.
Frequent interdepartmental business contact; continuous routine public contact, and frequent contact involving outside organizations/agencies.
Job ResponsibilitySupervisor responsibilities: directs work flow of permanent/temporary/seasonal/ volunteers during summer months; experiences minor problems daily and occasional major ones that must be resolved on own initiative with little immediate supervision; the consequences of error, carelessness or mistaken judgment require significant effort to recover.
Work EnvironmentShop area where conditions are pleasant; varied outdoor work sites with disagreeable conditions with undesirable elements or factors on a somewhat continuous basis; up to 3/4 of time is spent standing, or walking; major accident/hazard risk; requires sustained periods of heavy lifting, pushing or pulling (50+ lbs.).
