Sample Control Assistant

Job Summary

Sample Control Assistant assists in ensuring accurate receipt, documentation, and storage of samples while supporting the laboratory’s quality and safety objectives.

• Duration:
  Temporary; up to one month as needed.
• Schedule:
  
  Part‑time (20 hours per week) or full‑time as business needs dictate.

• Pack samples for shipment.
• Log samples into the lab system.
• Dispose of samples upon project completion.
• Clean and ship coolers used for sample transport.
• Monitor temperatures of all refrigeration units.
• Perform all duties in accordance with SOPs and laboratory health‑and‑safety policies.
• Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program.
• Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some laboratory experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of general laboratory practices and safety.
• Ability to multi‑task and communicate effectively (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Well‑organized with attention to detail.

• Standing or sitting for long periods.
• Lifting or moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Work in an office and/or laboratory environment.
• May spend extended amounts of time in a sample fridge/freezer.
