This is a remote/rotational position on a construction project with an estimated duration of one (1) year. The anticipated start date is October/November of 2026. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location.
Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

The Mechanical Quality Control Inspector performs quality control functions to assure compliance with project and Owner requirements under general supervision. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed by general supervision.
Essential Job Functions- Perform Fab Shop and field installation inspections of equipment and materials per the Project Specific Quality Plan, the Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures and applicable Inspection Report forms or checklists.
- Maintain compliance with established project, Corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.
- Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and Owner quality requirements.
- Review engineering drawings and track quality progress based on scope of work documents.
- Performing special process and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials.
- Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.
- Possess current knowledge of quality control and organizational practices.
- Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
- Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.
- Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
- Assist in the processing of installation procedures.
- Updates Quality Control files.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.
- Experience in piping systems walk downs, P&’s, weld mapping, welder’s qualifications, ISO’s, structural drawings, understanding of specs, procedures, codes, and standards.
- Proficient in documentation for tracking piping and structural steel welding.
- Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
