Job Description

The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as but not limited to dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, storage and rotation of food and supplies.

• Responsible for handling all foods, storage and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally; and understand instructions given in English.
• Following written and verbal instructions received accurately and in a timely and safe manner from kitchen supervisors and management personnel.

• Minimum age required (18 years). Must be able to balance multiple activities with an attention to detail in a safe manner.
• High school graduation (or equivalent) and at least one year of food service / hospitality experience. Candidates must have the ability to handle multiple tasks occurring at the same time.
• A current “Food Handler’s Card”, reliable transportation, well groomed appearance and good hygiene.

Employees are regularly required to stand for long periods of time, use hands, reach with hands and arms, taste, and smell. The employee is frequently required to walk, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit or stoop. The employee must regularly lift up to 50lbs. Specific vision required include close vision, depth, color vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and cold non-weather as well as moving mechanical parts. The employee must have the physical stamina to work on 8 to 12 hour shifts for extended periods of time.
