To thrive in this role, applicants must possess comprehensive technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, domestic water, and sanitary drainage systems. Extensive hands-on experience supported by journeyman-level certification or equivalent is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents, enabling precise execution of complex tasks. They should excel at troubleshooting and problem-solving, applying analytical thinking to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
May possess journeyman level certification. Requires apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the specific trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have and always maintain a current valid Alaska's Driver's License to hold this position

Must be able to obtain a CAC and access military installations
Must have valid driver license or the ability to obtain one
Position Details:
This position is located on the Fort Wainwright base in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt Local 6070 staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
